Danny Briggs, a 22-year veteran on the PGA Tour, is in his second year as a member of Brennan Webb's staff. A 30-year playing professional, Briggs serves as the director of player development.
Briggs played in 173 events on the PGA Tour and registered five Top 10 finishes and 14 Top 25 showings. His best finish on the PGA Tour was tied for third at the 1986 Tallahassee Open.
On the Web.com Tour, he finished in second place four times: 1993 Nike Tour Championship, 1994 Nike Central Georgia Open, 1995 Nike Inland Empire Open, and 2001 Buy.com Utah Classic. He played in 235 events and was in the Top 10 24 times and in the Top 25 on 67 occasions.
Briggs, who earned more than $1.5 million playing professional golf, also played in four Champions Tour events and made three cuts.
At Texas A&M, Briggs was a three-time All-American and three-time All-Southwest Conference selection. In 1982, Briggs led the Aggies to the conference championship and a 4th place finish at the NCAA Championships while finishing as the individual conference champion and 8th place individually in the NCAA. Briggs graduated in 1983 with a degree in Parks and Recreation and was later inducted into the Texas A&M Hall of Fame in 2012.
Briggs not only competes in the sport, but also continues to build the game of golf through various charitable organizations and fundraisers. Growing support and appreciation for the sport has been, and continues to be, a major aspect of Briggs' diversified endeavors. Briggs has been a guest commentator for the Golf Channel and for PGA Tour Radio. Briggs assisted in production, organized celebrity involvement and hosted "Golf in Paradise," a television show co-hosted with Major League Baseball Hall of Famer, Johnny Bench.
Briggs resides in Franklin, TN with his wife. They have a large family of five children, two sons-in-law and two grandchildren.
