MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee volleyball (3-2) blanked UT-Chattanooga (0-4) 3-0 (30-22, 30-16, 30-22) Wednesday in Alumni Gym.
With a team hitting percentage of .310 in contrast to Chattanooga?s .100, the Lady Raiders made quick work of the Lady Mocs. It was a collective effort by the Middle Tennessee team, with nine out of the 12-team members who played recording at least one kill.
The Lady Raiders were led by senior outside hitter Erin Hillstrom who had 10 kills, with a hitting percentage of .233 and registered two service aces. Karisse Baker and Jennifer Hignite tied for second for kills in a game with nine.
The Lady Raiders return to action on Friday when the team travels to Memphis to participate in the Memphis Tiger Volleyball Invitational. Action begins at 4:30 p.m. when Middle Tennessee meets Appalachian State.
