MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Former Middle Tennessee All-American Amber Holt will play on national TV this Sunday when the Connecticut Sun take on the Washington Mystics at 2:30 p.m. CT on ABC.
Connecticut defeated Washington, 87-79, on June 8 in Connecticut in the team's only previous meeting this season. The Sun has lost two straight and four of its last six contests, though three of the losses have come on the road. Connecticut began the year 11-3 and is 13-7 overall this season, just a half-game behind Detroit for the top seed in the Eastern Conference.
Holt is averaging 6.2 points and 3.1 rebounds per game after scoring 12 points with three rebounds in a loss at Detroit this past Tuesday. She has started every contest after being the ninth selection in the first round of the WNBA Draft in April.
