MT picked third in media poll

Blue Raiders open season Sept. 5
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee was picked to finish third in the East Division of C-USA in the 2015 Preseason Media Football poll released by the conference office Wednesday.
The poll was conducted by a panel of media members that cover C-USA schools.
Middle Tennessee was selected third in the East behind favorite WKU and Marshall. Florida Atlantic was picked fourth, followed by FIU, Old Dominion and Charlotte.
Louisiana Tech was the favorite of media voters to reach the C-USA title game for the second straight year. The Bulldogs were picked ahead of second-place Rice and UTEP. Southern Miss, North Texas and UTSA rounded out the media poll.
The league's 11th annual Championship game, pitting the champions of the East and West divisions, will be held Saturday, Dec. 5.
The Blue Raiders will open the 2015 season at home against Jackson State Sept. 5. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 PM.
