Byard ready for Senior Bowl

Kickoff set for 1:30 PM Saturday
MOBILE – Middle Tennessee's Kevin Byard, the school's all-time leader in interceptions, will compete in tomorrow's Reese's Senior Bowl at Ladd Peebles Stadium. The game will kick-off at 1:30 PM and will be broadcast nationally on the NFL Network.
Byard is the first Blue Raider to compete in the game since Tyrone Calico in 2003.
The Lithonia, Ga., native was a two-time first team all-conference honoree and was on the Thorpe Award Watch List three straight years. In 49 career games, Byard forced or gained 25 turnovers (19 INTs, 5 FF, and 1 FR).
Byard finished his career with 312 tackles to become just one of seven players all-time at Middle Tennessee to reach the 300-tackle plateau.
