GoBlueRaiders.com will conduct a series of Q&A features with different volleyball players throughout conference play. Today's feature is freshman setter/libero Steph Garner. Garner is originally from Winter Garden, Fla.
GBR.com: How did you start playing volleyball?
SG: I started when I was seven. My neighbor told me to go to this place called OVA, Orlando Volleyball Academy, and I played there for 10 years, so I guess that's how I started. I've loved it.
GBR.com: What is your greatest athletic achievement?
SG: My freshman year in high school we were 15-15, and then my senior year we were eighth in the state and we lost to the state champions. So that was pretty cool the way we turned it around.
GBR.com: What is your favorite memory as a Blue Raider?
SG: Probably all the people I have met and the friends I have made. Everyone is really cool.
GBR.com: What is the biggest difference between Murfreesboro and your hometown?
SG: Murfreesboro is the same small-town feel but there are definitely a lot more people here. My hometown is really small. Everybody knows everybody. Here it's bigger.
GBR.com: If you could play a different sport what would you play?
SG: I would play football. I'd be a cornerback and tackle people. That's my goal.
GBR.com: If you could play a different position what would it be?
SG: I'd be a middle blocker. I'd want to break people's dreams when I block them after they think they are getting a really good swing.
GBR.com: Do you have a pre-game routine?
SG: We listen to music, dance a little bit and have some fun.
GBR.com: Do you have a pre-game song or artist that you listen to?
SG: I listen to anything. Whatever you got I'll listen to.
GBR.com: Who is the best dancer on the team?
SG: Oh, for sure Meg Irvin, with a close second of Regan. She's pretty unique with her dance moves.
GBR.com: Do you have any hidden talents that many people may not know?
SG: I like to think that I'm a really good singer. My teammates don't think I'm that good, but I think I'm that good.
GBR.com: What is your favorite emoji?
SG: Probably the laughing crying face because I laugh a lot.
GBR.com: What is your favorite platform of social media?
SG: Snapchat.
GBR.com: Who is the best follow on Twitter?

SG: Probably my apartment. I got food and my bed there.
GBR.com: Who is your celebrity crush?
SG: Definitely Tyler Hubbard from Florida Georgia Line.

GBR.com: What are your thoughts on Big Papi retiring?
