Raiders to compete in Greenville Regional Preview

Middle among 16 Top 100 programs in field
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Following a three week break from competition play, the Blue Raider women's golf team returns to action Monday at the Greenville Regional Preview in Greenville, N.C.
East Carolina will host the 16-team event at the par 72, 6,122-yard Brook Valley Country Club where 36 holes will be played Monday beginning with a 7:30 a.m. CT shotgun start while the final 18 holes will be played on Tuesday.
All 16 teams in the field come in ranked in the Top 100 of the most recent Golfstat rankings, led by No. 10 Illinois.
Three more teams in the field rank in the Top 40 in Oregon (No. 32), Augusta (No. 39) and Denver (No. 40) while Old Dominion (No. 44), ECU (No. 50), Campbell (No. 53), TCU (No. 54), Clemson (No. 60) and Coastal Carolina (No. 64) are all ranked just ahead of MT (No. 67).
Idaho (No. 68), Kansas State (No. 69), Mississippi State (No. 72), Iowa (No. 89), Colorado State (No. 90) and Virginia Tech (No. 95) round out the field of 16.
Hanley Long leads the Blue Raiders in 2016-17 with a 73.4 stroke averaging in nine rounds of play and is coming off of a Top 10 finish at the Lady Paladin Invitational where she logged a career-low 4-under par 68 in the final round.
Samantha Gotcher and Jenna Burris came up just behind Long at the Lady Paladin, notching a pair of Top 15 finishes at the event to help place Middle Tennessee in the Top 5 as a team.
Senior Lacie York and freshman Katherine Holmes will round out the Blue Raider lineup in Greenville while Emily Lankford will make the second individual appearance of her freshman campaign in the event.
Middle Tennessee will tee off Monday on holes 8-10 alongside Clemson and Kansas State. Live scoring can be found at Golfstat.com.
