Freshman Saulo tied for 5th overall
DULUTH, GA – Middle Tennessee returned to tournament action on Monday with 36 holes at the AutoTrader.com Collegiate Classic at the Berkeley Hills Country Club (par 72, 6,694 yards). The Blue Raiders had rounds of 293-285 and stand in eighth position in the 13-team field.
No. 25 Ole Miss owns the overall lead with a 550 total while South Florida is second and Lipscomb third.
Freshman Ilari Saulo led the Blue Raiders with impressive rounds of 70-69 for a 3-under par total. Saulo is tied for fifth overall.
Senior Connor Slane is tied for 28th with a 1-over par total of 145. Slane turned in rounds of 72-73 on Monday.
Senior Joey Savoie struggled with a 77 in round one before bouncing back with a 3-under par 69 in round two. Savoie is tied for 33rd with a 2-over par score of 146.
Freshman Chip Thomas had a pair of 74s and is tied for 48th while Marcus Byrd is tied for 75th with a 155 total. Byrd had rounds of 80-75.
Drake Duncan, playing as an individual, stands at even par and is tied for 25th overall. Duncan opened with a 1-under 71 before carding a 73 in the second round.
