GREENVILLE, N.C. – Play was suspended a majority of the way through round two at the Brook Valley Country Club Monday with the Blue Raiders finishing the day in 15th place at 67-over par at the Greenville Regional Preview.
Middle Tennessee opened the day with a round of 40-over 328 and currently sit at 27-over with 2-3 holes remaining in round two.
"We got in our own way out there today and let the course beat us," Head Coach Chris Adams said. "The greens are very tough and slick, but we just need to figure out how to manage it better tomorrow.
"Hopefully we can come out tomorrow with a better frame of mind and move a few spots up the leaderboard."
Senior Samantha Gotcher and Sophomore Hanley Long notched the top scores for the Blue Raiders through the opening day, landing in a tie for 39th at 13-over par through 15 holes in round two.
Jenna Burris is currently tied for 76th at 20-over par with two holes left to play in round two while Katherine Holmes is a stroke behind her at 21-over through 15 holes in the second round.
Lacie York comes in at 29-over par, having completed 16 holes in round two. Freshman Emily Lankford, playing as an individual, has matched York through 15 holes of round two at 29-over par.
Round two action will be continued at 7:00 a.m. CT on Tuesday with round three to follow. Live scoring can be found at Golfstat.com.
