Saulo wins player of week honor

Matched school record for 54-hole score
MURFREESBORO – Freshman Ilari Saulo has been named the Conference USA Male Golfer of the Week as announced by the league office on Wednesday.
Saulo, from Helsinki, Finland, won co-medalist honors at the Quail Valley Intercollegiate with a 54-hole total of 13-under par. His 203 cumulative score matched the best mark in school history for three rounds of play.
Saulo, who led the field with 19 birdies to go along with an eagle, had rounds of 67-65-71 and birdied two of his final three holes to earn the co-championship. His second round 65 equaled the third-best single round score in Blue Raider history.
In four tournaments played this fall, Saulo leads the team with a 71.1 stroke average to go with three top 10 finishes.
