10/3/2016 4:39:00 PM | Track & Field/Cross Country
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Upon further clarification from the timing company at the Greater Louisville Classic Saturday morning in Louisville, Ky., the Blue Raider men's cross country team finished just three points behind first place Virginia Tech, while the women's team finished 13th overall.
Originally Middle Tennessee finished second to Division II opponent Grand Valley State. However, Division II opponents should not be included in the Division I final results. In the final Division I results, Virginia Tech came out on top with 59 points, while Middle Tennessee finished second with 62.
Middle Tennessee is still perfect in the South region, posting a 21-0 record.
The Blue Raiders are slated to return to competition Oct. 15 at 2 p.m.for the UTC Front Runner Invitational in Chattanooga, Tenn.
