The Blue Raiders are T-29th in the latest poll
MURFREESBORO, Tenn.—For the first time in program history, the Middle Tennessee Men's Cross Country team is ranked in the USTFCCCA National Rankings.
The Blue Raiders come in tied with Illinois at No. 29 in this week's poll, after a record setting 39-1 start to the season. MT joins UTEP as the only Conference USA programs in the national rankings.
Middle Tennessee's historic season has been fueled by the squad's willingness to buy in as a team, says Associate Head Coach Keith Vroman.
"The guys have worked hard this year, not only individually, but also as a team," Vroman stated. "Most of them are used to training individually, so it's great to see them come together and perform like they are. I look forward to seeing what we can accomplish during the championship season."
The team is currently ranked No. 2 in the South Region and compiled a 21-0 record against South Region opponents.
The Blue Raiders will be back in action at the UTC Front Runner Invitational Oct. 15, followed by the C-USA Championships in Charlotte, N.C. Oct. 29.
