Blue Raiders return to conference play at LA Tech

MT holds 7-0 series lead against the Bulldogs
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Following a 3-1 setback to in-state rival Tennessee State, the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders return to conference action against LA Tech Friday night in Ruston.
Friday's match is set for a 7 p.m. start from Thomas Assembly Center and will be broadcast on CUSA.TV.
The Blue Raiders have posted a 7-0 record in the all-time series against LA Tech, including a 4-0 ledger in Ruston.
Regan Coughlin paced the Raiders in their last outing with 15 kills, while freshmen Aubrie Huddleston and Dora Peonia also added 13 and 11 kills, respectively. Peonia's performance also pushed her across the century mark with 101 kills for the season.
Delaney Gallagher tallied six total blocks against the Tigers, and served up her team-best 15th ace of the year.
The Bulldogs (8-10, 0-3) have dropped their previous five matches, including three tough conference contests to Rice, WKU and North Texas.
Angela Papach leads LA Tech with 219 kills for the season, while Marta Monne and Alexa Lister each have 172 and 114 kills, respectively.
Alejandra Aviles has tallied 291 digs, which ranks third in C-USA at 4.68 digs per set. As a team, the Bulldogs lead the league with 1,106 digs, and are second in C-USA with 16.26 digs per set.
Following Friday's meeting, the Blue Raiders will remain on the road for a weekend finale at FAU Sunday at 11 a.m. CT.
