Indoor and Outdoor Track Schedule Released

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Coaches Dean Hayes and Keith Vroman have announced the 2016-17 indoor and outdoor schedule for track and field.
Middle Tennessee's track and field team will start the indoor season with the Vanderbilt Opener on Saturday in Nashville, the first of three indoor events hosted by the Commodores. The Blue Raiders will have five indoor meets in Tennessee, including being the host of the Middle Tennessee Invitational on Feb. 4.
The Conference USA Championships (Feb. 18-19) will be held in Birmingham, Alabama for the second year while the NCAA Indoor Championships (March 10-11) will be in College Station, Texas.
To begin the outdoor season, the Blue Raiders will travel to compete at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia. MT will compete in three events hosted by SEC schools, as they will run in the Vanderbilt-Raleigh Relays (March 25), University of Tennessee Invitational (April 8) and the Auburn Invitational (April 22). In total, 11 events are on the outdoor slate for the Blue Raiders this season.
UTEP will host the outdoor 2016 Conference USA Championships occurring May 11-14. The NCAA Regionals will be in Lexington, Kentucky (May 25-27), followed by the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon on June 7-10.
