Hawaiian Q&A with Charvarius Ward

While the Blue Raiders are practicing at home in preparation for the 2016 Hawaii Bowl, GoBlueRaiders.com will talk to various players about their upcoming trip to the island. Today's brief Q&A is with cornerback Charvarius Ward.
Have you ever been to Hawaii?
No, this is my first time being out of the South, really.
What's one thing you're looking forward to other than the weather?
Just seeing things I've never seen before, like the ocean, people, all that stuff.
What are your feelings on pineapple and spam?
I saw Spam under the counter at my mom's house, but I haven't had it before. I like pineapple, though.
Any interest in getting close to a volcano?
I would love to see that. I've never seen anything like that before.
How will you keep yourself busy on the flight?
The night before I'm not going to sleep. Hopefully I can take some sleeping pills or sleeping medicine so I can stay asleep the whole time.
Who has the best hula dance on the team?
Jeremy Cutrer.
How many Hawaiian shirts do you own?
I just have one. It's at my house in Mississippi, so I probably won't take it.
What guy is most likely to throw on a coconut bra when you're there?
Probably Jeremy Cutrer. He's crazy, he'll do anything.
Are you looking forward to doing any water activities?
It depends on what we're allowed to do. I'll go surfing, I'll swim, I'll do all types of stuff.
What's your favorite beach activity?
I've never been to a beach before, so anything.
