Raiders double-header against Southern Miss will now begin at Noon
MURFREESBORO – Due to the probability of inclement weather Saturday, Middle Tennessee's softball double header with Southern Miss has been moved up to a noon start.
The Raiders home and conference opener will begin at noon and game two will follow approximately 30 minutes after game one's conclusion. Admission will be free.
Middle Tennessee is 11-11 on the season and rebounded from a tough weekend last weekend in Florida to beat Alabama State 5-4 Tuesday and Alabama A&M 9-4 Wednesday.
Former Blackman star and Murfreesboro native Kirstyn Cuccia is leading the Raiders with a .391 average and has started all 22 of MT's games. She's earned five doubles a triple and a home run on the season to go with 25 RBIs. She also leads the team with a .536 slugging percentage and seven walks have helped up her on base percentage to .443.
