George, Miller lead way
TUCSON –Middle Tennessee had opening rounds of 301-300 to stand in 13th place after 36 holes of the Mountain View Women's Collegiate golf tournament.
No. 5 Georgia owns the overall lead with a 570 total followed by No. 16 Iowa State and No. 22 Missouri.
Avery George and Emily Miller led the way on day one for the Blue Raiders. Both are tied for 43rd with 150 totals. George had rounds of 76-74 while Miller registered a 73 and 77.
Hanley Long is tied for 50th with a 151 total. Long carded rounds of 76-75.
Jenna Burris is 54th with a 152 total, while Samantha Gotcher is in 69th position with a 156.
The Blue Raiders will play the final round on Saturday.
