FINAL RESULTS
LAKE WORTH, FL – Middle Tennessee moved up two spots following a final round 287 at the FAU Slomin Autism Invite on Sunday. The Blue Raiders shot an 869 total on the Fountains Country Club Course (par 71, 6,876 yards) for the 54-hole event.
Mississippi won the event with an 11-under par 841 total while UConn came in second with an 852. UCF was third while DePaul and FAU tied for fourth.
The Blue Raiders were 20-under par on the par 5s to lead the tournament and their 174 pars ranked fourth.
"I feel like we played our best tournament of the year from tee to green," said Head Coach Brennan Webb. "We just need to clean up some of the scoring around the greens. I am very optimistic about the remainder of the spring and heading into the Conference USA Championship."
Marcus Byrd and Connor Slane led the Blue Raiders on day three with even par rounds of 71 as both tallied four birdies each. Byrd and Slane both tied for 26th with 54-hole totals of 216. Byrd was 7-under on the par 5s to tie for second, while Slane was 4-under.
Drake Duncan, who had two birdies, carded a 72 on Sunday to tie for 40th with a 219. Duncan finished with 41 pars which ranked third in the field.
Hoyeong Kim, who opened with a 1-under par 70, turned in a 74 in the final round to tie for 44th. He had a 220 total.
James Beckner had a 222 cumulative score to tie for 55th. Beckner notched a 73 in his final round.
