KENNESAW, Ga. – A final round 298 (+10) propelled the Blue Raiders into a fourth-place finish at the Henssler Financial Collegiate on Tuesday.
Middle Tennessee finished the tournament at 44-over par (908), finishing behind only No. 26 Texas Tech (+26, 890), No. 34 Augusta (+36, 900) and Illinois (+44, 906).
"We were much better today, tying for the low round of the day," head coach Chris Adams said. "We had a couple of hiccups again at the end but we are going to work hard and get stronger."
Conference USA foe Old Dominion finished four places back from the Blue Raiders at 65-over par (929).
Freshman Hanley Long birdied her final hole for a one-over par 73 in round three to move to nine-over par (225) for the tournament and collect her first career top 10 finish.
Senior Avery George matched Long at nine-over par (225) with an even-par 72 on Tuesday to join the freshman in a tie for 7th in the field.
"Hanley (Long) and Avery (George) both played very solid to finish in the top 10," Adams stated.

Lacie York held the final spot in the Blue Raider lineup and finished her second tournament of the season at 29-over par (245).
The junior shot her best round of the tournament on Tuesday thanks in part to an eagle on the 309-yard Par 4 14th hole, one of just five eagles in the 54-hole tournament.
Maddie Denton was also in the field for Middle Tennessee as an individual and logged a three-round total of 31-over par (247).
