Beckner tied for 11th
WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV – Middle Tennessee had rounds of 291-295 on Monday to move into eighth place at the Greenbriar Collegiate Invitational. The tournament is being held at the Old White TPC at the Greenbriar (par 70, 7,287 yards).
East Tennessee is the overall leader at 7-over par followed by Western Kentucky at 16-over par. Eastern Kentucky, Marshall, and Old Dominion round out the top five.
Freshman James Beckner led the Blue Raiders on day one with a 143 total and a tie for 11th. Beckner had rounds of 73-70
Drake Duncan and Hoyeong Kim are both tied for 30th with 147 totals. Duncan, who had three birdies on the day, had rounds of 72-75, while Kim carded a 73 and 74.
Connor Slane put up a 149 and is tied for 48th after rounds of 73-76.
Marcus Byrd is tied for 58th with a 151.
The Blue Raiders will play the final round beginning Tuesday morning.
