Live Stats
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Dima Zyhmantovich and Robin Riethmueller have had great success at Middle Tennessee in the past two years.
The pair of seniors will compete at the Buck Bouldin Tennis Center for the final time on Tuesday at 2 p.m. against Austin Peay.
"I'm hoping we can keep our momentum going after taking down UTSA," MT head coach Jimmy Borendame said.
The Governors will bring a record of 6-8 to Murfreesboro, as they've posted three wins in a row, defeating Murray State, Tennessee State and Belmont. The latest win streak matches a season best mark for consecutive victories. After losing seven straight to start out the season, Austin Peay reeled off three straight wins, all by a score of 4-3.
Zyhmantovich came to Middle Tennessee from Minsk, Belarus. He currently has a career record of 18-20 in singles play, including a 10-8 mark this season, spending most of his time at the top spot in the lineup. In a battle with College of Charleston in 2015, Zyhmantovich came away with the victory in three sets to give the Blue Raiders a 4-3 win.
In his senior campaign, Zyhmantovich took singles wins against No. 46 Louisville and No. 62 Iowa. He earned Conference USA's Academic Medal last season.
Riethmueller currently boasts a singles record of 18-9 during his two year career here at Middle Tennessee. The Balingen, Germany, native played a big role in the Blue Raiders' successful 2015 campaign, including wins against No. 23 Vanderbilt and No. 13 TCU.
Riethmueller carried his singles success into the postseason, as he earned the victory over Charlotte at the 2015 Conference USA Championship. Riethmueller was a member of Conference USA's Commissioner's List in 2015.
Free shirts, popcorn, Pop-Tarts and Mountain Dew Kickstart will be available at the match, all while supplies last.
"We have a lot of promotions for this Senior Day match for Robin and Dima," Borendame added. "I'm expecting a good crowd and a good match."
