Blue Raiders in 6th at Wolfpack Spring Open

Slane tied for 16th to lead MT
RALEIGH, NC – After 36 holes of the Wolfpack Spring Open, the Middle Tennessee men's golf team is in sixth place in the 17-team field. The Blue Raiders own a 580 total on the Lonnie Poole Golf Course.
The Blue Raiders' second round score of 286 matched their second-best round of the season and was the best this spring. MT finished second in the field in par 5 scoring at 9-under.
Host NC State is the overall leader followed by South Florida and Virginia.
Connor Slane led the Blue Raiders on day one with a 144 total and is tied for 16th overall. Slane carded a 72 on both rounds and is 2-over par. He had seven birdies on the day.
Hoyeong Kim is tied for 22nd with a 145 score. Kim, who had seven birdies Saturday, opened with a 73 before turning in a 72 in round two.
James Beckner, who had a 1-under par 70 in round two, is tied for 24th at 146.
Drake Duncan is a shot back of Beckner at 147 and is tied for 30th. Duncan opened with a 73 before closing with a 74.
Marcus Byrd is tied for 37th with a 148 total.
The Blue Raiders will play the final round Sunday.
