Raiders move up on final day

FINAL RESULTS
FRANKLIN, TN – Middle Tennessee finished in a tie for 11th after moving up two spots during the final round of the Mason Rudolph Championship. The Blue Raiders had an 899 total on the par 71, 7100-yard Legends Club course, including a 292 on Sunday.
Host and No. 9 ranked Vanderbilt won the event in a closely fought battle with No. 19 Florida.
"Conditions were much easier today and it showed in the scores," said Head Coach Brennan Webb. "We need to do a much better job of handling adversity like the wind yesterday. Looking forward to getting to the Greenbriar next weekend to see if we learned anything from this Mason Rudolph."
Drake Duncan led the Raiders on the final day with a 1-under par 70 that included five birdies. Duncan tied for 39th with a 223, moving up 17 spots.
Marcus Byrd and James Beckner both tied for 49th with a 225. Byrd carded a final round 73 while Beckner added a 74.
Connor Slane was one shot back with a 226 and tied for 53rd. Slane had two birdies during his final round 75.
Hoyeong Kim finished 77th, while Graham Gosselin was 76th as an individual.
The Blue Raiders will compete next at the Greenbriar Intercollegiate April 12-13.
