Final Results
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Just two weeks from defending their Conference USA title, the Blue Raider women's golf team has captured more success in the state of Florida, capturing the Web.com Intercollegiate title Tuesday.
"This was a great team win for us and what better time to win than just before the Conference USA Championship," head coach Chris Adams said.
Middle Tennessee shot 10-over par (298) on Friday to drop to nine-over par (288-287-298=873) for the tournament, but edged out Campbell (286-295-293=874) to capture its second title of the 2015-16 season.
"It was tough out there today with swirling winds and the overall scores were higher today, but we managed down the stretch and were able to come out on top," Adams added.
The Web.com title is the 16th team title in school history and the 11th under head coach Chris Adams. It is also the sixth in the last two seasons for the Blue Raiders, who will look to win their second consecutive Conference USA Championship in the coming weeks.
