Raiders Compete in Triple Jump

AUBURN, Ala. – On the first day of the Tiger Track Classic the Middle Tennessee track & field teams competed in the men's and women's triple jump at Hutsell-Rosen Track.
In the men's triple jump, Phillip Smith earned the best finish by a Blue Raiders at Auburn on day one, placing second after bounding 15.29 meters (50-2).
Vincent Okot, a 2016 NCAA Indoor Championship participant, finished fifth after leaping 15.00 meters (49-2.5).
For the MT women's squad, Pershawna Williams nabbed the best-finish, placing fifth after jumping 12.32 meters (40-5), while India Hammond finished 13th, bounding 11.79 meters (38-8.25).
Middle Tennessee continues competition at the Tiger Track Classic tomorrow.
