Borendame hosts Camp Ability campers

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee men's tennis head coach Jimmy Borendame teamed up with Camp Ability of Special Kids Therapy and Nursing Center for the sixth year in a row to teach special needs kids the game of tennis.
Borendame hosted over 70 children on Thursday at the Adams Tennis Complex, where two groups of Camp Ability campers ages 6-25 got hands-on experience while learning tennis in an interactive, social and fun environment.
"We had a great group of kids and I love sharing my passion for the game of tennis with them," Borendame said. "We all had a great time putting this clinic on several years ago and we wanted to make sure the kids had another great experience."
Camp Ability is a seven-week day camp in June and July for special needs children and youth ages 6-25 and is held at North Boulevard Church of Christ in Murfreesboro. The campers enjoy a variety of field trips throughout the summer, such as Borendame's tennis clinic.
