Raiders back to training following exhibition at KSU

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – After battling Kennesaw State in a competitive, 3-2, defeat in Thursday night's exhibition match, the Blue Raiders now return to training to continue their preparations for the upcoming season opener.
Several newcomers saw their first action in a Middle Tennessee uniform in the contest as Head Coach Aston Rhoden looks to mix his 12 newcomers in with 13 returning Raiders.
"Being an exhibition game we were able to play a lot of players in different positions and try some different formations out," Rhoden said. "I think we got out of this game exactly what we were looking for."
Rhoden and the Blue Raiders will be available to meet and greet with fans on Sunday at Fan Day, which begins at 2 p.m.
Following Fan Day, the MT faithful can get their first look at the 2016 Blue Raiders on the pitch by attending the 5:00 p.m. home exhibition contest against Martin Methodist.
The regular season opens up at home when Middle Tennessee hosts Jacksonville State at 7:00 p.m. on Aug. 19.
