Raiders complete preseason schedule

Regular season kicks off Friday
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee women's soccer completed its preseason schedule with a 90-minute exhibition match against Martin Methodist on Sunday evening.
With a few knocks leaving the Blue Raiders a bit short-handed, several younger players got an opportunity to show their worth in the contest.
"I think it was good, with about six or seven players that normally play being out, to get some of our younger players in the game," Head Coach Aston Rhoden said. "I think they did reasonably well but we need to continue to work on how to manage games better."
With both exhibition contests now behind them, the Blue Raiders have four more days of training until the season opener.
Jacksonville State is the first opponent on the schedule for MT in 2016 as the Raiders and Gamecocks are set to kick off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Dean A. Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium.
