He will continue his responsibilities as Director of Baseball Operations
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee baseball Head Coach Jim McGuire announced the promotion of Robbie Britt as the volunteer assistant coach for the 2017 season.
Britt will assist with hitting, as well as having position responsibilities. He will continue his current responsibilities as Director of Baseball Operations, along with taking over field maintenance duties.
The Maryville, Tenn., native, was hired as the Director of Baseball Operations in July 2015. Over his time with the program, Britt has impressed McGuire with his work ethic and coaching abilities.
"Robbie's been with us for a year now, and he has done a tremendous job for us over the time that he's been with the program," McGuire said. "He's proven to be a hard worker and has shown that through working in our camps and during his time at Maryville College. I am excited to have him step into a coaching role."
As Director of Baseball Operations, he assists with coordinating on-campus recruiting, academic achievement, camps, alumni correspondence, player development programs, team travel, equipment management, and scouting reports.
Britt played baseball for three years at Maryville College, and was hired as an assistant coach and Director of Baseball Operations his senior year after he finished his eligibility as a player. He graduated from Maryville College in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and History.
