Cross Country Looks to Remain Perfect in Louisville

The Men and Women will be competing Saturday morning
MURFREESBORO, Tenn.— After a week off, the men's and women's cross country teams are back in action to compete in the Greater Louisville Classic at 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning in Louisville, Ky.
The men's team is coming off its impressive first place finish in the Commodore Classic, and is receiving votes in the national rankings. The squad won all three of its meets so far this season and looks to continue its perfect record Saturday.
The men's team will take the course first at 8:30 a.m., while the women will begin shortly after at 9:15 a.m.
The Blue Raider men will be facing tough competition, racing against nationally ranked No. 9 Eastern Kentucky. EKU is one of three southeast regional ranked teams in the field, No. 1 EKU, No. 4 Virginia Tech, and No. 7 Louisville. Ranked teams in the south region competing in the meet include, No. 7 Auburn, No. 9 Tennessee, and No. 10 Tennessee Tech.
The Middle Tennessee women's team will have its hands full with a tough field, which includes nationally ranked No. 14 Michigan. Ranked teams in the southeast region competing include, No. 4 Virginia Tech, No. 11 Louisville, and No. 12 Eastern Kentucky. Middle Tennessee is ranked No. 10 in the south region and will compete against fellow south regional ranked opponents, No. 9 Auburn, No. 11 Memphis, and No. 12 UAB.
Middle Tennessee will be competing in the race with Auburn, Bowling Green (women only), Butler (women only), Davidson, Detroit, East Tennessee State, Eastern Kentucky, Elon, Louisville, IPFW, Liberty, Marquette, Memphis (women only), Michigan (women only), Morehead State, Ohio (women only) , Southeast Missouri, South Alabama, Tennessee (men only), Tennessee Tech (men only), UT-Martin, Toledo, UAB (women only), Virginia Tech, Western Kentucky (men only), and Xavier.
