MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Coming off its first overtime game of the season, the Middle Tennessee women's soccer team plays host to Tennessee Tech on Friday night with a 7:00 p.m. start time at Dean A. Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium.
The Blue Raiders hold a 15-2 advantage all-time against Tennessee Tech with the current win streak spanning the last 17 years. The Golden Eagles last defeated MT in 1999, 3-2. However, most recently, Middle won in a double overtime match, 1-0, to begin the 2015 season.
MT is 2-2-1 on the year, posting wins over Jacksonville State, 1-0, and Jackson State, 6-2. The Blue Raiders last contest was a 1-1 double overtime tie against Belmont.

Jordan also nearly netted a game-winning goal with seconds left in the second overtime but was whistled for offsides. The Clarksville, Tenn., native leads the team in shots with 17 and is tied with Abbie Brown for goals on the season with two. Gibson now has a team-high two assists in just three games played this year.
Freshman goalkeeper Sydney Chalcraft added to her impressive save numbers against Belmont, notching eight to tie her career best and push her season total to 27.
Tennessee Tech enters the match with a 3-2 record. The Golden Eagles have posted shut out wins over UNC Asheville, Wright State and Mercer, but enter Friday's match coming off of a 2-1 double overtime loss to Louisiana Tech.
