Blue Raiders close weekend against Florida Atlantic

MT in search of 10th-straight C-USA home win
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Winners of four straight in Murphy Center, Middle Tennessee seeks to keep the home-court success rolling when it plays host to league foe Florida Atlantic Saturday afternoon.
The 2 p.m. tip-off can be heard on 89.5 WMOT with Dick Palmer and Duane Hickey on the call. The game will also be televised on beIN Sports.
The Blue Raiders (10-7, 5-1) hold a 19-1 advantage in the overall series against the Owls (4-13, 0-6). MT has won 13 straight matchups and is 10-0 all-time when playing FAU at home.
All 10 Blue Raiders found their way into the scoring column in the 95-43 victory against FIU Thursday night. Alex Johnson provided a game-high 22 points, while Rebecca Reuter (18), Abbey Sissom (16) and Jess Louro (11) added double-figure nights.
Reuter's 18 points tied her career high, while her 12 rebounds set a new career-best. Louro's 11 points also set a new career high for the sophomore.
Florida Atlantic enters Murfreesboro in search of its first league win. The Owls dropped a 66-55 decision in their last outing at UAB Thursday.
FAU averages 63.1 points per game, while allowing opponents to score 70.8 points. Junior Sasha Cedeno leads the team with 11.1 points per game, and junior Raven Doyle ranks No. 12 in C-USA with a 6.5 rebounding average.
Following this weekend's action, the Blue Raiders will end the month of January on the road to face Southern Miss and LA Tech next Thursday and Saturday.
