QUOTABLE
"We played well against Trevecca. We pitched well, only giving up one run. They scored first on us but we played well. I don't like that it took us until the sixth inning to get going and scoring but we were able to still hit the ball hard and unfortunately Trevecca was just able to make some plays those first couple of innings. We have to start doing a better job of scoring early to take the pressure off our defense. We played good defense again today and that helped us in scoring runs late. We scored a lot of late runs today but when we got going we got going and we hit it hard and got a lot of hits. I am just pleased with the way our kids come to the park everyday ready to go. They practice hard and it shows when fans come out, they'll want to come back because we put a good quality team on the field and kids that hustle and want to win. Dani had a nice home run today, she hit it hard and a long ways, really stroked it. Morgan almost had one too, it just hit the fence and was just a little short." – Head Coach Jeff Breeden on the Trevecca game
"We came out of the gate really good and scored a lot of runs early. We had good base running early but I think we kind of got lackadaisical as the game went on and after the fifth inning lost focus a little bit. So we've got to learn and grow a little bit and learn we are playing against the game and not an opponent and keep doing our own things. I think we went to sleep a little bit in the late innings but we played great defense all day and our pitcher threw well again. I think at this moment in the fall we're exactly where we need to be and we get better every time out." – Head Coach Jeff Breeden on the Columbia State game
