Kerri Cook scored for MT in the contest last year.
UTEP and Middle have also met three times in the past, two of which were overtime contests with the Miners holding a 2-1 advantage. Last season in Murfreesboro UTEP won 4-1. Rice is currently ranked No. 24 and sits atop the C-USA standings.
Two Preseason All-Conference selections have a larger majority of the team's goals. DePriest continues to lead the squad in most of the offensive categories. She has notched nine goals on 39 shots and 19 shots on goal. Four of her goals have been game winners and she is one of four freshman in the nation to have recorded nine or more goals at this point in the season.
