NOTABLES
"Hanley didn't have a lot of confidence coming in so I just re-assured her that I do have a lot of confidence in her. We literally changed drivers on the driving range this morning and she struck it really well. She was probably striking the ball better than anyone today. It's refreshing to see her back to herself out there." – Head Coach Chris Adams on Hanley Long's round.
"This is a couple of tournaments in a row now that Cynthia has had that bounce in her step and she played pretty well again today. This is a course that requires you to hit your spots and be pretty accurate and that's her game." – Head Coach Chris Adams on Cynthia Bounleutay's continued strong play.
"She kind of got down early and made a comment that she wasn't used to starting that way. I think her expectations are just really high because she loves this golf course. To finish with that eagle on 17 you can't ask for much more. We know she's going to give us everything she's got." – Head Coach Chris Adams on Jenna Burris' strong finish after a slow start to the day.
"Last week I just tried to regroup mentally. I've been playing really good golf but mentally I've lacked confidence. This morning I wrote 'believe' on my arm as a reminder that I could play this well for myself and my teammates. I was putting way too much pressure on myself so I teed it up today without any expectations and lived in the moment. I'm really proud of the direction the team is going and I love feeding off of everyone else playing so well." – Junior Hanley Long on turning in a good first round to improve on her last tournament.
