Bounleutay, Burris lead the way for Blue Raiders
Round 1 Results
SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Middle Tennessee opened up play in the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational Sunday with a 22-over par 310 amidst strong wind gusts to sit 13th in the field.
The upperclassmen led the way for the Blue Raiders in round one as senior Cynthia Bounleutay and redshirt junior Jenna Burris each logged a 3-over 75 while junior Hanley Long carded a 5-over 77.
Despite a tough opening day, several teams remain in striking distance for MT with 36 holes to play as only 16 strokes separate the Raiders from fourth place UTSA.
The Blue Raiders are back on the course at Briggs Ranch Monday morning with Caroline Caudill leading things off on the 10th tee at 9:10 a.m.

- Redshirt junior Jenna Burris is tied for fifth in the field in Par 4 scoring (-1) while freshman Sophie Burks is tied for seventh in Par 3 scoring (E) and senior Cynthia Bounleutay is tied for 12th in Par 5 scoring (-1)
