Potts named to Preseason All-High Major Third Team

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – College Sports Madness announced it's 2017-18 Preseason All-High Major teams on Monday with Middle Tennessee guard Giddy Potts making the list as one of four players representing Conference USA.
Potts was named to the All-High Major Third Team by the college basketball publication heading into his senior season in blue and white.
The Athens, Ala., native is Middle Tennessee's leading returning scorer and rebounder, boasting 15.3 points and 5.3 rebounds as a junior. No other returner in Conference USA boasted higher averages in both categories.
The sweet-shooting guard shot over 48 percent from the field, over 38 percent from three, and nearly 81 percent from the free throw line a season ago and was awarded Conference USA Tournament MVP, All-Conference USA Third Team and NABC District 11 Second Team honors.
College Sports Madness' All-High Major Teams are made up of the top players from high major conferences including the Atlantic 10, Conference USA, Missouri Valley Conference, Western Athletic Conference and West Coast Conference among others.
Potts and the Blue Raiders open the regular season on Nov. 10 against Trevecca.
