DAY TWO RESULTS
COLLEGE GROVE, TN – On day two of the Franklin American Mortgage Intercollegiate at The Grove, Middle Tennessee shot a round of 290 and stand in third place. The Blue Raiders have a 36-hole total of 582.
Ole Miss owns the overall lead by one stroke over Georgia Tech. The Rebels shot a 285 while the Yellow Jackets carded an impressive 276 on Monday. Cincinnati is in fourth followed by Liberty in fifth.
"The course played very easy today so it was a disappointing start to the round after playing so well yesterday," said Head Coach Brennan Webb. "We did manage some birdies down the stretch to salvage the day. Marcus continued his solid play and I am excited that he has a chance to go compete for the individual title tomorrow."
Marcus Byrd had the sixth-best round of the day with a 69 to move into a tie for third overall. Byrd, who has nine birdies for the tournament, is just three shots back of last year's champion, Braden Thornberry.
