Hoot Named to C-USA All-Academic First Team

IRVING, Texas - Conference USA Soccer All-Academic honorees were announced by the league office Thursday with sophomore midfielder Amber Hoot representing the Blue Raiders on the First Team.
Hoot is a Biochemistry major that currently holds a 4.0 GPA. Last year she was a two-time Middle Tennessee Dean's List honoree while also being named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and as a C-USA Academic Medal Winner.
"Amber is a very good example of what it means to be a student athlete," said Head Coash Aston Rhoden. "She works as hard in the classroom as she does on the field. I am really happy for her and she truly deserves this recognition."
The Churubusco, Ind., native started every game this season for the Blue Raiders in the midfield. She logged one goal and a team-leading eight assists on the year. Her eight assists were good for second-most in the conference and put her in the top 50 in the nation.
