Stockstill, Rooker on C-USA All-Academic Team

MURFREESBORO – The InTouch Credit Union Conference USA Football All-Academic honorees were announced by the league office Friday with junior quarterback Brent Stockstill and senior place-kicker Canon Rooker representing the Blue Raiders on the First Team.
Stockstill earned his degree last December and owns a 3.810 GPA in Leisure & Sport Management (Graduate Degree). He is a three-time Conference USA Academic Honor Roll member and made the C-USA All-Academic team in 2016.
Stockstill, who missed six games during the regular season with an injury, has come back to lead the Blue Raiders to a 3-1 record in the month of November. Stockstill became the school's all-time leading passer and career record holder for completions this season.
Rooker, a four-time Conference USA Honor Roll member, has a 3.741 GPA in biochemistry. The Richmond Hill, GA, native has enjoyed a strong season by connecting on 14 of 17 field goal including an impressive 7-for-7 from 45 yards or longer. Rooker also became the first kicker in school history to hit two field goals from over 50 yards in the same season.
