Lady Raiders host Herd in #Play4Kay matinee

MT seeks to remain perfect in all-time series
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Coming down the stretch of a tightly contested league race, the Lady Raiders play host to Marshall Saturday afternoon in Murphy Center amid the final homestand of the season.
Fans can tune in to Dick Palmer and Duane Hickey on the 89.5 WMOT call. The 2 p.m. tip-off will also be broadcast on ESPN3 via the WatchESPN app.
Saturday's matinee will serve as MT's annual #Play4Kay game. MT is offering a $7 ticket special on the day of the game for fans who wear pink, and the first 400 fans will receive a free t-shirt. In addition, the first 20 fans wearing pink who visit the marketing table behind Section P will receive a Mr. B's $20 car wash gift card.
Saturday's game will also serve as a Connection Point game for students. Students will receive free hats, ribbons, buttons, ribbon tattoos and a poster to write inspiring messages.
Middle Tennessee will also recognize survivors during the game.

The Lady Raiders (16-9, 11-3) lead the all-time series by a 6-0 margin, including a 72-63 victory at Marshall (12-12, 4-9) earlier this season.
A valiant rally fell short Thursday night in Murphy Center, as MT dropped an 82-75 decision to WKU. Trailing by as much as 11 in the second-half, MT claimed a lead before the Lady Toppers surged late to take the top spot in the C-USA standings. Alex Johnson poured in 33 points, while Ty Petty and Abbey Sissom added 17 and 14, respectively.
Marshall enters Murfreesboro after a 71-55 setback at UAB Thursday. Shayna Gore paces the Herd offense with 17.2 points per game. Kiana Evans and Talequia Hamilton also add double-digit figures per night with 12.4 and 11.6, respectively.
Play from behind the arc keys to be a factor for Saturday. Marshall stands second in the league in 3-point percentage defense (.296), while the Lady Raiders rank No. 2 in C-USA in 3-point field goal percentage (.359).
