Blue Raiders suffer setback at home against KSU

MT fell behind early and could not climb back into the game
Blue Raiders (4-6) struggled to find the strike zone again, giving up 13 walks in the game and the Owls (6-4) took full advantage after being shutout Friday night.
Owls struck early, putting up a three-spot in the first inning. KSU added four runs in the fifth and another six in the sixth. They added another four insurance runs in the seventh.
MT got on the board in the third with an Austin Dennis sac fly to center, scoring second baseman Kevin Sullivan, after Sullivan singled to get the inning going.
The Blue Raiders struck again in the seventh and eighth with freshman catcher Aaron Antonini and pinch hitter Phillip Kunsa both blasting their first career home runs.
Sullivan finished as the only MT hitter with more than one hit, going 2-for-3 while scoring two runs. Sophomore slugger Austin Dennis finished 1-of-3 with two RBI.
Sophomore Carson Lester (0-2) was tagged with the loss, throwing 4-1/3 innings. Kennesaw State starter A.J. Moore (2-1) picked up the win.
Rubber match set for tomorrow at 1 p.m. Two-way player Devin Conn will be on the bump for MT.
