Raiders shoot 3-under par in second round

SECOND ROUND RESULTS
FRANKLIN, TN – The Middle Tennessee men's golf team shot a 3-under par 281 on Saturday at the Mason Rudolph Championship and are in sixth place heading into Sunday's final round. The 14-team event is being held at the Vanderbilt Legends Club South Course (par 71, 7,100 yards).
Alabama fired a 12-under par round to move past Florida for first place and an 18-under par total. Florida is one shot back in second, while host Vanderbilt is four shots back.
Ilari Saulo, Marcus Byrd and Chip Thomas all shot 1-under par 70 on Saturday to lead the way for the Blue Raiders. Joey Savoie and Hoyeong Kim both shot even par 71.
Saulo had four birdies on the day including three in his final five holes and is tied for 24th overall at 1-under par. Saulo is leading the field in par 5 scoring at 7-under and is tied for fourth with 10 birdies.
Byrd registered three birdies and is tied for 29th at even par, while Thomas also tallied three birdies on his round. Thomas is tied for 32nd at 1-over par.
Savoie followed his first round 68 with an even par 71 and is tied for 12th. Savoie also had three birdies Saturday.
Kim continued his steady play with an even par round that included a team-high five birides. Kim, who has 10 birdies for the tournament, is tied for 29th for the tournament at even par.
As a team, the Blue Raiders are tied with Florida in par 5 scoring at 16-under par, while ranking third in the field with 40 birdies.
