Round 2 Results
MACON, Ga. – Middle Tennessee sits in 12th place through 36 of 54 holes at the Brickyard Collegiate, carding a team score of 42-over par 618 (308-310) on the opening day.
The Blue Raiders are just four strokes back from 11th place Jacksonville, who sits 38-over par with a two-round total of 614.
Sophomore Jenna Burris led the way for MT on day one. She opened strong with a birdie and seven consecutive pars and then finished round one with two more birdies to put her at 2-over (74). After carding a 7-over 79 in round two, she sits tied for 34th place at 9-over (153).
Junior Cynthia Bounleutay shot a 5-over 77 in round one and then opened round two with 11 consecutive pars before finishing at 3-over (75) to make her 8-over (152) for the tournament and tied for 31st place.
Hanley Long carded a 6-over 78 in round one and a 4-over 76 in round two to put her at 10-over 154 through 36 holes.
Samantha Gotcher and Katherine Holmes each put up scores of 7-over 79 in round one while Gotcher finished the day at 11-over 155 and Holmes entered the clubhouse at 15-over 159.
Lacie York, playing as an individual, is 36-over at 180 with 18 holes left in Macon.
Day two features tee times off the first and 10th tees beginning at 7:20 a.m. CT as the Blue Raiders look to move up the leaderboard during the final 18 holes.
