Raiders begin play at Wolfpack Spring Open

MURFREESBORO – The Middle Tennessee men's golf team will tee off in the 2017 Wolfpack Spring Open on Friday in what will be the final tournament before the Conference USA Championship. The event will take place at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh, NC (par 71, 7,046 yards).
The 50th ranked Blue Raiders are coming off a strong showing at the Mason Rudolph Championship where they captured a top five finish for the fourth time this season.
The 14-team field includes host North Carolina State (A and B teams), South Florida, East Tennessee, UNCW, MT, UNCG, Loyola-Maryland, Clemson, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Francis Marion, Western Carolina and Temple.
The teams will play 36 holes on Friday with a shotgun start beginning at 7:30 AM CT before concluding the tournament on Saturday with 18 holes. Saturday's tee times will start at 7 AM CT.
The Blue Raider lineup this weekend will include senior Joey Savoie, freshman Ilari Saulo, sophomore Marcus Byrd, freshman Chip Thomas and junior Hoyeong Kim.
