Savoie tabbed C-USA Golfer of the Week

Fifth honor for MT this season
MURFREESBORO – Middle Tennessee senior men's golfer Joey Savoie has been voted the Conference USA Men's Golfer of the Week as announced by the league office Wednesday. It marks the fifth honor for the Blue Raiders this season.
Savoie, a Quebec, Canada native, tied for third in a field that consisted of 10 Top 100 players in last week's Mason Rudolph Championship. Savoie posted a 54-hole total of 205 which tied him for the fourth-best three round score in school history while his final round 66 was a career-high and matched the eighth-best in school history.
Savoie, who beat nine of the 10 top 100 players, ranked second in the field in par 3 scoring and notched 13 total birdies.
Savoie currently leads the team with a 71.6 stroke average and has had 18 rounds of par or better this season. He also leads the Raiders with seven rounds in the 60s.
