MT qualifies four for NCAA Championships
LEXINGTON, Ky. — Middle Tennessee closed the 2017 NCAA East Regional advancing four Blue Raiders to the NCAA Outdoor Championships next month.
Tahir Walsh closed his Blue Raider career with a 21.22 mark in the 200-meter dash, while Jacob Patten placed 24th in the men's high jump with a leap of 2.05 meters.
On the women's side, Janet Amponsah clocked a 23.41 mark in the 200-meter dash, and MT's 4x400-meter relay squad finished with a time of 3:38.13 to close the regional.
The Blue Raiders will shift their focus to the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. MT's Jacob Choge, Eliud Rutto, Abike Egbeniyi and Agnes Abu are slated to compete for a national championship June 7-10 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
