Dadzie named C-USA Female Field Athlete of the Year

Senior capped season with All-American honors
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – After a sensational finish to the outdoor season, Middle Tennessee's Elizabeth Dadzie has been named Conference USA's Female Field Athlete of the Year, the league office announced Friday afternoon.
Dadzie capped her final outdoor season with the Blue Raiders being named Second Team All-American at the NCAA Championships in the heptathlon after a 14th place finish in Eugene last week.
The Ghana native excelled at the C-USA Outdoor Championships in El Paso, as she was voted the Female Performer of the Meet. Dadzie finished the conference meet as the High Point Scorer of the Meet with total 34 points.
The senior broke a conference meet and school record in the heptathlon with 5,832 points, while placing in the top three of each event at the C-USA Championships. Dadzie also flashed her versatility with a first-place finish in the long jump and earned second-place in the 100-meter hurdles in El Paso.
Throughout the season, Dadzie took gold seven times and placed in the top-10 28 times in 37 events.
