#TRUE Blue Summer Tour dates are set

MURFREESBORO - The Blue Raider marketing team and the entire athletic department is set to kick off the 5th Annual #TRUE Blue Summer Tour starting July 18th. The goal of the #TRUE Blue summer tour is to connect with the community in order to get fans excited about the 2017-18 athletic season. At each stop, there will be ticket information, posters, and other various MT Athletics promotional items.

July:
18 th-Grand Opening @ 11:30 am (Freebirds World Burrito)
Join the MT Athletics along with MT Cheerleaders and Lightning for the Grand Opening of Freebirds World Burrito (2222 Medical Center Pkwy Suite A, Murfreesboro, TN 37129).
20th- Business Before Hours @ 7:30 am – 9:00 am (Hendrix Stadium Club)
MT Athletics, The Rutherford Chamber of Commerce, and United Way have teamed up again for their annual Business Before Hours events. Head to the Jeff Hendrix Stadium Club for an informal, social networking event. Listen to guest speakers and meet other business professionals from across Rutherford County! MORE INFO
27th - Paint the Town Blue @ NOON – 2:00 pm
Be on the look for the 2017 Blue Raider football players and MT Dance Team as they paint the town blue. The crew will be hitting the streets distributing schedule posters to local businesses. Fans that spot the crew of blue are encouraged to take pictures and post them via social media using the hashtag #BlueRaiders
27th- MYP Social @ 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm (Hendrix Stadium Club)
Join the Murfreesboro Young Professionals for their monthly Networking Social. For July session, Middle Tennessee Athletics will host the event in the Jeff Hendrix Stadium Club.
29th - MTSU Alumni Night at the Sounds @ 7:05 pm
The MTSU Office of Alumni Relations invites YOU to mix & mingle with other alumni & guests in the Middle Tennessee area and enjoy great food and a great game in the Sounds beautiful new stadium! Tickets are only $30 per person, which includes food and ticket to the game.
MTSU Alumni, family & friends will have their own picnic area (Right Field Picnic Area) to mix & mingle in before and during the game. This area is located under the iconic guitar scoreboard and includes seating in the area.
-Buffet service for 90 minutes (starting when gates open)
-Children 3 and under are free
-You will pick up your ticket outside the right-field entrance to the stadium. We will have a table outside the gate.

19th- Alumni Pig Skin Pregame Event @ 6:00 pm (Batey Farms)
Join MTSU at one of the best event venues in the Murfreesboro area, The Grove at Williamson Place! The Pigskin Pre-Game is a football season kick-off & scholarship fundraiser. All proceeds raised at Pigskin Pre-Game benefit the Alumni Legacy Scholarship, which is awarded to children or grand-children of MTSU Alumni. Come to the field of Floyd Stadium for an afternoon full of fun. This event will allow Blue Raider fans the opportunity to meet players and coaches from the football, soccer and volleyball teams. Fans will be able to get autographs, pick up their 2017 posters and schedule cards, play on the inflatables, check out local vendors, and enjoy live music by Everyday People, a favorite band of the Nashville/Murfreesboro community. While supplies lasts, there will also be free food and drinks for all to enjoy. The Blue Raider ticket office will be on-site for fans to purchase season tickets and the Blue Raider Athletic Association will also be set up to answer questions and sign up new members.
26th- Convocation & President's Picnic @ 5:00 pm (Murphy Center & Floyd Stadium)
University Convocation marks the beginning of a new academic year for MTSU students. Students and their families can come hear remarks from J.D. Vance, the author of the MTSU summer reading book, Hillbilly Elegy, President Sidney McPhee, Vice President Debra Sells, and the SGA President. Learn about traditions, hear the Band of Blue perform, and help us celebrate the beginning of a new year.
The President's Picnic will immediately follow Convocation, and is a great time to eat and mingle with fellow students, MTSU administrators, and special guest J.D. Vance, and even Dr. McPhee!
30th/31st Raider Traitor Video Shoot @ ALL DAY (MTSU campus)
Be on the look for your Blue Raider student-athletes as they storm the campus to make sure everyone is dressed properly! Don't get caught on campus wearing another school's apparel or else …

1st- Friday Night on the Square @ 6:30 pm (Rutherford County Courthouse Lawn)
Join the entire MTSU community for a #TRUE Blue Night on the Square. This free event will not only feature live music, but will also have a special touch of blue to highlight the night as we prepare for our home opener football game the next day!
