Tennis teams host clinic for Camp Ability

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – For the seventh consecutive year, Middle Tennessee men's tennis head coach Jimmy Borendame partnered with Special Kids Therapy and Nursing Center to provide a clinic to campers at Camp Ability.
The tennis clinic counselors provided a place for Camp Ability campers to learn the game of tennis in an interactive, social and fun environment. The campers got two days of hands-on experience at the Adams Tennis Complex this week. Borendame and MT women's tennis head coach Charlie Ramsay were both instrumental in assisting the campers.
"We've been working with Special Kids and Camp Ability for several years now, and it's always great to help teach kids our game," Borendame said. "The kids and the camp counselors always have a fun time, and we're happy to give them this experience."
Camp Ability is a seven-week day camp in June and July for special needs children and youth ages 6-25 and is held at North Boulevard Church of Christ in Murfreesboro. The campers enjoy a variety of field trips throughout the summer, such as MT's tennis clinic.
